Privacy Policy

Last updated October 15, 2026

The short version

  • We only collect what you choose to share with us, plus basic technical data needed to run the website.
  • We use it to prepare your design preview, reply to you and provide your website plan.
  • We never sell your information, and we don't use advertising cookies.
  • You can ask us to see, correct or delete your information at any time.

This policy explains what information Pine State Web (“we”, “us”) collects through pinestateweb.com and our website plans, why we collect it, and how we look after it. We've written it in plain English, so you know exactly what to expect.

1. Information you give us

When you request a design preview or contact us, we collect the information you choose to provide, such as:

  • Your name, email address and phone number
  • Your business name, business type and current website address
  • Details about your business and what you'd like your website to do
  • Optional details such as the features you'd like and your preferred contact method

We also record which page of our website you sent your request from, so we know which of our pages are helpful. If you email or call us, we keep a record of that conversation so we can follow up.

2. Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type and the pages requested. This is used to deliver the website, keep it secure and diagnose problems, not to build a profile of you.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate, such as which pages are viewed, which websites send visitors to us, and general information like country, browser and device type. It doesn't use cookies or identify you personally, and we use it only to understand which pages are helpful and improve the site.

3. Cookies

We don't use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies on this website, and we don't show ads. Our visit statistics are collected without cookies. The chat assistant remembers, for your current browser session only, whether you've already seen its greeting; nothing is shared. If any of this changes, we'll update this policy first.

4. How we use your information

  • To prepare your free design preview and reply to your request
  • To contact you the way you prefer, by email or phone, about your request or your website
  • To build, host, update and support the website you sign up for
  • To send invoices and handle billing if you become a customer
  • To keep our website secure and working properly, and to meet our legal obligations

We don't sell or rent your personal information, and we won't add you to marketing lists or send you unrelated promotions.

5. How your request reaches us

When you submit the design request form, the details are checked on our server and sent to us by email. The website itself doesn't store your submission in a database. The form also includes simple spam protection that doesn't track you.

The chat assistant in the corner of each page works the same way. If you request a design through the chat, your answers are checked and emailed to us exactly like the form. Questions you type into the chat are matched against the information on this website to find an answer; they aren't stored or shared, and no outside AI service is used.

6. If you become a customer

If you sign up for a website plan, we also handle:

  • Billing details needed to invoice you and keep your plan active
  • Content you send us for your website, such as text, photos and logos. It stays yours, and we use it only to build and update your site.
  • Website statistics, if your plan includes monthly analytics: summary information about visits to your website, used to prepare your monthly report

Your website may collect information from your own customers, for example through a quote-request form. That information belongs to your business, and we only access it to run and support your website.

7. Who we share it with

We share information only with the service providers that run this website and deliver your request to us:

These providers may only use your information to provide their services to us. We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others. If Pine State Web is ever sold or merged, your information would transfer under the same protections described here.

8. How we protect it

This website uses HTTPS, so information you send through it is encrypted in transit. We limit access to your information to the people who need it to help you, and we use reputable providers with strong security practices. No method of sending or storing data is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us.

9. How long we keep it

We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and, if you become a customer, to provide our services and keep the records the law requires, such as billing records. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, and we'll do so unless we're required to keep it.

10. Your choices and rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing dylan@pinestateweb.com. We'll respond promptly and won't charge you for a reasonable request. If you'd rather we stopped contacting you, just tell us and we will.

11. Children

Our services are intended for businesses. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

12. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page. If a change significantly affects how we use information you've already given us, we'll let you know. See also our terms of service.
